Preparing for Your Garage Sale

DETERMINE DATE(S)
The first step in the garage sale process is determining the date(s) to have your event. This will give you a set time to have everything sorted and ready. Saturdays and Sundays are often the best days for garage sales.
ORGANIZE ITEMS
Next, you need to throw away items you do not plan to sell or give away. Once you decide what items you plan to have in your garage sale, you will need to organize them. Many people choose to organize them by room or category (i.e. kitchen, bath, kids, etc.) Once you organize the items, create a master inventory of everything you plan to sell.
MAKE ITEMS LOOK THEIR BEST
Once you have determined what items to include in your garage sale, go through them one more time and give them a little TLC. Cleaning up the items can help them look more appealing and may even allow you to sell them for a higher price.
