Movers and Packers: The Packing Process
(part two)
We are continuing our series on packing. As a full service moving company, we are often asked about packing. Not only is this a service we offer, but we find that more and more of our customers choose to eliminate the stress of packing by having our movers and packers handle it for them. Our previous article discussed some ways to help you prepare for the arrival of your movers and packers. This article will address what happens during the packing process itself.
WHEN OUR MOVERS AND PACKERS ARRIVE
When our movers and packers enter your home, the first item on their agenda is to conduct a walk through with you. This is the time for you to show them what items to pack and what stays behind. Your full service movers will then bring packing material into your home and begin the packing process, going room to room, until everything is packed. They will mark each box with the name of the room from which the contents were packed (i.e. kitchen, master bedroom).
WILL ALL OF THE BOXES BE FULL?
Our movers and packers make every effort to completely fill each box. This is done primarily to help prevent items from being damaged. In some cases, items from two rooms may end up in the same box to ensure capacity is reached.
FINAL WALK THROUGH
Once complete, our movers and packers will ask you to take one final walk through to ensure nothing was missed. It is important to check everything, including drawers, closets and even inside the washer, dryer and dishwasher.
