Planning Your “Unpacking” Strategy

Unpacking is one of the most daunting tasks of moving.  Even if you hire movers and packers to pack your items, you still must deal with unpacking and organizing. Sitting in a room full of boxes can seem overwhelming.  However, it does not have to be a stressful process.  Our next series of articles will cover some tips to consider when you are planning your unpacking strategy. TACKLE ONE ROOM AT A TIME

One way to help prevent becoming overwhelmed is to make a plan to unpack one room at a time.  Many people choose to unpack their kitchen first, but you can prioritize the order in which you unpack each room based on your needs.

BREAK DOWN EMPTY BOXES

Clutter causes anxiety, and one way to reduce “clutter anxiety” is to break down each box once it is unpacked and either move it to a designated part of the house or throw it away.
