Establish a Routine
Another way to help your parents adjust to their new home is by establishing a daily routine. This can include things like making sure they eat breakfast every morning, encouraging them to take walks around the block, and even checking in with family and friends via phone or video call. Having a set routine will help them feel more comfortable in their new surroundings.
Help Set Up Necessary Technology
If your parents are not familiar with technology, you may need to help them set up their devices and/or services in their new home. This could include selecting an internet provider and setting up Wi-Fi, showing them how to use a smart TV, and helping them download apps on their smartphone. Assisting them with getting connected can make their transition to their new home much easier.
