Prepare Essential Documents
Another important step in preparing for a move is to gather all of the essential documents your parents have and will need. This includes their birth certificate, social security card, passport, driver’s license, insurance information, etc. Make copies of all these documents and keep them in a safe place where you can easily access them. You should also have your parents sign any necessary legal documents in advance, such as a power of attorney or medical directive.
Develop a Timeline
Timing is everything when it comes to moving, so it’s important to plan out a timeline in advance. It’s also helpful to plan for some down time so everyone can get plenty of rest and avoid getting too stressed out during the process.
